Two-story Craftsman duplex of stretcher brick-veneer frame construction with an asphalt-shingle hip roof with shed dormers with brackets and wood-shingle siding. The dial one-story front entry porches have tapered posts on brick pedestals, square-section balusters, exposed rafter ends, wood-shingled gables, and aluminum awnings. Other features include exterior brick chimneys with convex or quarter- round shoulders, 4/1 and some 2/1 windows, and inset one-story porches at both back corners. A low brick retaining wall with concrete coping extends along Eleventh and the alley. The duplex is identical to 721-723 Eleventh, located next door. Both were built by Jake Fisher as rental properties. This duplex was occupied by William A. Gamble (717) and Frank B. Miller (719) in 1935. (James K. Wright)
