Two-story, brick-faced frame single-family dwelling with a semi-detached ond-story hipped-roof garage facing onto Fifteenth Street. Features include a first-story single-leaf paneled wood door with sidelights, set beneath a second-story stuccoed wall and sheltered by a semicircular two-story entry portico with Tower of the Winds columns; windows with 8/8 double-hung wood sash, jack arches, and keystones; and an asbestos-shingled hipped roof. The large, heavily wooded lot is faced with a brick retaining wall the length of the property along Locust Avenue. Spillmas was a newspaper editor (Frances Cook).
