Two-story frame apartment building with vinyl siding, an asphalt-shingled hip roof, a poured-concrete foundation, a one-story front porch with chamfered wood posts and rectangular-section balusters, a vinyl-encased side chimney, and a two-wer back porch and balcony. The building replaces a boxwood garden associated with 552 Chestnut.
