Public library. Built 1965-66. Brick (Flemish bond); 1 main story, plus basement; hipped roof; asymmetrical 5-bay front; arcaded brick portico. Russell Bailey of Charlottesville, architect. This split-level brick building was designed to blend into the neighborhood. The arcaded front portico is based on mid-18th-century Virginia prototypes.
