Hawksbill Mountain: mountain in United States of America
The summit of Hawksbill Mountain is the highest point in Shenandoah National Park and in both Madison and Page Counties. The National Park Service built a stone observation platform at the top, and Byrd's Nest No. 2, one of a series of shelters Senator Harry Byrd built in the park, stands nearby. The summit is also the site of a peregrine falcon restoration project and one of the few places in the park where balsam fir grows.
