Detached dwelling. Eclectic. Built 1960. Brick (painted); 1 story at front, 2 at rear; intersecting hipped roofs; U plan with front court; symmetrical 3-bay front; 2-story pedimented Classical portico at rear (S) facade. This well-landscaped, low-profile modern house incorporates a repertoire of traditional forms, thus blending well with its older neighbors. It was built for historian John E. Manahan and his wife, the former Anna Anderson, widely believed to be the youngest daughter of Czar Nicholas II of Russia.
