Corbelled brick cornice; sawtooth matchboard at gables; two-room plan; original interior detailing. A remnant of a private student-housing complex run originally by Mrs. Dabney Carr, this small cottage has housed students (except for brief periods) since at least the 1870s, and possibly as early as 1855. In the late 19th century Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity stored its archives there and held regular meetings in the house.
