What is it about?

From the National Register nomination

brick (5-course American bond); 3 stories; slate hipped roof; 3 bays. Colonial Revival. Ca. 1900. Entrance in northernmost bay. Pedimented door surround with 2-light transom. 6/6 sash with segmental arches, blinds added. Entrance to basement in southern bay facade. False gable with wooden shingles and dentil frieze over southern bay. 1-bay, 1-story addition to north.
