From the National Register nomination
The circa 1890 1.5-story wood frame with vinyl siding Cottage-style dwelling sits on a limestone foundation under a predominately side-gabled roof clad with slate. The house has 3,073 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The house has a three-bay asymmetrical arrangement that includes a small front facing gable on the east with a single two-over-two, double-hung, wood-sash window, then a somewhat centralized three-bay project with two-over-two, double-hung, wood-sash windows, then ending to the west with a small square wooden post porch with wooden balustrade the is partially covered by a striped metal awning. The west elevation of the house has a single bay projection and an enclosed wood porch that dominates the northwest corner of the house. There is also an interior brick chimney on the east side of the house. The original four slat vertical shutters are also intact. The house style and materials choice are representative of the neighborhood and the house follows setback from the street typical of the neighborhood. The house is also noted as being one of the oldest houses on Franklin Street.
