From the National Register nomination
Located on the southwest corner lot of Franklin Street and South Mason Street, the 1909 two-story, wood-frame with vinyl siding early 20th Century American Movement house sits on a limestone foundation under a pyramidal standing-seam metal roof with north and east projecting dormers with scalloped wood details. The house has 3,532 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The façade of the building features a three-bay arrangement, a wood wraparound porch that wraps to the east with wood columns and a decorative scalloped wood detail base, one-over-one, double-hung, wood-sash windows, an off-center to the east front door with multi-paned sidelights. There is an interior brick chimney. There is an east two-story, three-bay projection and there is a one-story, three-bay projection on the west. There is a one-story, wood-frame garage to the south of the primary resource. The house style and materials choice are representative of the neighborhood, and the house follows setback from the street typical of the neighborhood.
