From the National Register nomination
Located on the southeast corner of Franklin Street and South Mason Street, the 1900 two-story, wood-frame with weatherboard Queen Anne sits on a limestone foundation under a complex slate roof. The house has 4,799 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The façade of the building features a four-bay arrangement, a wood wraparound porch that wraps to the east with wood columns and a decorative scalloped wood detail base, a two-story turret with a conical slate roof, one-over-one, double-hung, wood-sash windows, and an off-center to the west front door. There is a central interior brick chimney and there is also an interior chimney located to the rear of the house. There is a two-story projection on the west elevation that sits under a gabled end. There is a white wooden picket fence defining the property lines for the property. There is a one-story, wood-frame garage and a one-story, wood-frame shed to the south of the primary resource. The house style and materials choice are representative of the neighborhood, and the house follows setback from the street typical of the neighborhood.
