A house, 1958
BrickDoes not contribute to the district's historic character
From the National Register nomination
The non-contributing 1958 one-story, wood frame modified ranch with brick veneer sits on a poured concrete foundation under a side-gabled roof clad with asphalt shingles. The building has 2,020 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The façade of the building is asymmetrical with a centered front door and multi-paned picture window to the west and a front-facing gabled block with a six-over-six, vinyl window, and metal scalloped detail at the cornice line. There is also a projecting dormer on the west half of the house that has two eight-paned metal windows that appear to swing out to the street. The front porch dominates the center and western half of the façade and has metal trellis posts. There is a west exterior-end brick chimney. There are no outbuildings associated with this primary resource. There is a concrete driveway to the west of the house. While this house falls slightly out of the period of significance for inclusion in the nomination, it is an excellent example of mid-twentieth century architectural forms in the Shenandoah Valley.
