BrickContributes to the historic character of the district
From the National Register nomination
The 1920 two-story wood frame with brick veneer Colonial Revival house sits on a poured concrete foundation with a side gable roof clad with asphalt shingles. The building has 2,830 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The façade features a three-bay arrangement with a central front door with an intact fanlight that is flanked by inset pilasters. The windows are eight-over-eight, double-hung, vinyl replacements. There is a one-story, one-bay projection that appears to be an enclosed side porch on the west elevation that is clad with vinyl siding. There is a central interior brick chimney. There is a concrete driveway on the east side of the house. There is a non-contributing one-story, wood-frame garage to the north of the house. There is also a one-story, wood-frame shed to the north of the primary resource. While the building has maintained the appearance of being a single family residence, it actually has three rental units with addresses of 252 West View Street and 258 West View Street. There are mature trees to the rear of the house and there are numerous foundation plantings. The house style and materials choice are consistent with the neighborhood, and the house follows typical setback from the street for the neighborhood.
