260 Ash Tree Ln
A house, 2005
FrameDoes not contribute to the district's historic character
From the National Register nomination
The non-contributing property of 260 Ash Tree Lane has changed dramatically in the past ten years. According to tax records in 2002 a two-story wood frame building was demolished and then a new building was placed into use and taxed in 2005. The current house is in keeping with the style of the neighborhood. The three-bay house is set on a poured concrete foundation and rises to create the simplistic two-story Queen Anne inspired wood frame house with vinyl siding under a multi-gabled metal roof. The house also has a wraparound porch that dominates the south and west elevations. The house was clearly inspired by the neighboring houses of Campbell and Franklin streets and serves as a sympathetic form of new construction for the Old Town Historic District.
