FrameContributes to the historic character of the district
From the National Register nomination
The 1895 two-story, wood-frame with weatherboard and wood shingles modified Queen Anne sits on a limestone foundation under a predominately side gabled asphalt shingled roofline. The house has 4,931 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. One significant element of the house is the beautiful turret with its conical metal roof. There is a central front door that is accessed by the three bay, one-story wood columned porch with intact balustrade that dominate the west half of the façade. The subdivision of lots is not uncommon in the city; however, it is not common practice in the Old Town neighborhood so that the medium density concept can remain for future and present residents. The house style and materials choice are representative of the neighborhood, and the house follows setback from the street typical of the neighborhood.
