From the National Register nomination
The 1915 2.5-story, wood-frame with brick veneer Colonial Revival sits on a limestone foundation under a hipped asphalt shingled roof with projecting dormers on all elevations. The single-family residence has been converted into the Layman and Nichols law firm and the building has 4,232 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The façade of the building features a three-bay arrangement with a centered front door with an intact fanlight and sidelights. There is a one-story, three-bay wood column on limestone piers full-front porch that is accented by first-story wooden balustrades. Windows throughout are one-over-one, double-hung, wood-sash. There is a central interior brick chimney. The rear of the house originally had double porches, which have been enclosed and replaced by a rear wooden decking system to provide access to the rear sections of the building. The interior plan remains predominately intact with beautiful carved wood detailing throughout. The house style and materials choice are consistent with the neighborhood, and the house follows typical setback for the neighborhood.
