From the National Register nomination
The 1925 two-story, wood-frame with brick veneer Dutch Colonial Revival duplex sits on a limestone foundation under a gambrel asphalt shingled roof with a continuous projecting dormer. The house has 4,771 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The façade of the building features an east and west point of entry into the units bearing the addresses of 355 Franklin Street and 357 Franklin Street. The entrances are located under one-story, one-bay wood columned porches. The windows throughout are six-over-six, double-hung, wood-sash, which are accented by the wood shutters with crescent cutouts. There are interior brick chimneys for both of the units. There is a one-story masonry garage to the south of the primary resource. The house style and materials choice are representative of the neighborhood, and the house follows setback from the street typical of the neighborhood.
