BrickContributes to the historic character of the district
From the National Register nomination
The circa 1930 three-story, wood-frame with brick veneer Modern Movement apartment building sits on a poured concrete foundation under a flat roof with raised parapets. The building has 13,284 square feet, which is consistent with scale and massing within the neighborhood. The brickwork shows impressive craftsmanship with intricate string courses and corner detailing. The projection of the east and west blocks of the building create an interesting central courtyard design. There are multi-paned metal casement windows. There are no chimneys present. There is a paved driveway from Campbell Street that curves to the east to provide the residents access to a small parking area that is located to the east of the building. There are numerous mature trees throughout the lot; however, there are no foundation plantings or shrubbery. There are no outbuildings associated with this primary resource. The Campbell Court Apartments serve as a reflection of the economic and architectural diversity in the Old Town neighborhood.
